HeadMouse, developed by Grupo de Robotica - Universidad de Lleida, is an assistive technology application that turns a standard webcam into a hands-free pointing device. Using real-time, markerless head tracking, it translates natural head movements into smooth cursor motion, allowing users to navigate desktop software without a physical mouse. Clicking can be performed by dwelling for a configurable interval, by using external switches, or in combination with on-screen keyboards and click utilities. The software provides adjustable sensitivity, acceleration, smoothing, and calibration options to suit different abilities, postures, and lighting conditions. Designed for people with limited hand or arm mobility, HeadMouse offers an accessible, cost-effective way to interact with a computer using equipment many users already have.
